FC Groningen is active in the transfer market and aims to sign Pelle Clement, the thirty-year-old midfielder, on a free transfer. Clement is leaving Sparta Rotterdam this summer, and FC Groningen sees an opportunity to benefit from his experience. According to RTV Noord, the club has already held several discussions with Clement, and both parties are enthusiastic about a collaboration. A deal seems to be a matter of time, although Clement has yet to visit Groningen. During his time at Sparta, Clement played eighteen Eredivisie matches, scoring twice and providing three assists. Despite being a regular starter, he did not receive a new contract offer from Sparta. FC Groningen is not only interested in Clement but is also looking for replacements for departing players Dies Janse and Younes Taha. Additionally, the club hopes to secure Tygo Land on loan from PSV for another year. The option to buy Travis Hernes has also been activated, further strengthening the club's plans.
